What is a Splatter Session/workshop and how does it work?
A Splatter Session is a fun and original indoor activity where you can create with paint in a free and open way!
You throw, spray, and experiment with paint on canvas. You can think of a Splatter Session as an Action Painting workshop – anything goes, nothing is mandatory ;).
We start every session with a short explanation of the materials, tools, and possibilities. After that, it’s entirely up to you (or your group) to do your own thing. Have questions during the session or want to try a specific tip or technique? We’re always happy to help.
So, you don’t need to be creative or know how to paint! You can throw paint, spray it, or just do whatever you feel like. That’s exactly what makes it so much fun: no rules, just fun! At the end of the session, you’ll go home with your own artwork to display at home or in the office.
Because it’s an indoor activity, a Splatter Session can take place all year round, whatever the weather.

Which sessions are available?
Open Studio:
for everyone aged 9 and up. You work on a standard 40×50 cm canvas. Prefer something bigger? Choose a 50×60 cm canvas for an extra €8.
Kids Session:
for children between 5 and 9 years old, always accompanied by one adult. You work together on one 40×50 cm canvas, or a 50×60 cm canvas for an extra €8.
Paint Date:
for everyone aged 9 and up. You create one 50×60 cm canvas together. So, a Paint Date definitely isn’t just for couples!
Group Activity:
from 5 people upwards, you enjoy a group price: €44 p.p. for a 40×50 cm canvas
or €49 p.p. for 50×60 cm. Send us an email to book your session!

How long does a session last?
What should I wear?
We recommend not wearing your newest clothes. We work with acrylic paint, which is difficult or even impossible to get out of fabric. If you do get paint on your clothes, try to remove it immediately in our studio with some water and a sponge – the faster, the better.
It is a Splatter Studio, after all… so paint is part of the deal 😉
A protective poncho is included in the price as standard. Want a full protective suit? That’s €4.50 p.p.
What is included in the price?
All materials are included: paint, canvas, tools, and a protective poncho.
Want extra protection? A full protective suit is optional and costs €4.50 per person
How do I take my artwork home?
Standard sizes (40x50cm and 50x60cm) go home in a kind of pizza box 🍕🎨.
For larger canvases, you can transport them carefully in the car (pay close attention to the dimensions and bring a blanket or some plastic). We do recommend leaving larger works to dry in our studio and picking them up at a later time, as the paint will still be wet.
Standard canvas sizes and larger canvases.
Standardly, we work with a 40×50 cm canvas or a slightly larger 50×60 cm size.
Want to go even bigger? You certainly can! Larger canvases are available on request. We often have sizes like 60×80 cm, 100×100 cm, or 100×150 cm in stock, but please check with us beforehand. Other sizes can also be provided upon order.

Can I let my work dry for a while and pick it up later?
If I book different packages in one session, will we be in the same room together?
Yes! If you book under the same name, we’ll take this into account so you can Splatter together. Feel free to send us a message if you’re booking under different names.
Can children come and splatter?
Absolutely! We do make a distinction based on age.
- Kids Sessions (5–9 years):
our Kids Sessions are intended for children between 5 and 9 years old and always take place under the supervision of one adult.
Is your child younger than 5? Then there are two possibilities:
- Individual Kids Session (3–5 years) This is possible, depending on the child. We work with paint pots of nearly half a liter, which shouldn’t be mixed during the session. This requires a certain level of motor skills and understanding, which can be more difficult for some younger children.
- Are you working together with several people on a larger canvas (so not our standard 40×50 cm or 50×60 cm sizes)? Then all ages are welcome, always under the supervision of an adult.

Where can you find us?

You can find us in the center of Antwerp, Lange Nieuwstraat 47, 2000 Antwerp. This is a street parallel to the Meir and about a 15-minute walk from Antwerp Central Station.
⚠️ Street parking is not allowed in the city center. Please use one of these car parks within walking distance:

Q-Park Stad – ± 3 min walk (currently inaccessible)

Is the Splatter Studio wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The Splatter Studio itself is accessible via a small detour. Please keep in mind a maximum passage width of 68 cm and one step.
There is a higher step for our reception area. We provide a sturdy ramp for this to ensure access is as smooth as possible.
